Lingueo attaches paramount importance to the protection of personal data, in strict compliance with the requirements of the law known as “Informatique et Libertés” (Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978), the RGPD (Regulation no. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data) and the recommendations of the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).).

Here are some of the measures put in place by Lingueo for this purpose:

• Maintaining a processing register listing all the treatments carried out by Lingueo and their main characteristics;
• Supervision of the purposes and duration of treatments (principle of minimization);
• Implementation of internal procedures (response to requests to exercise rights, management of incidents and notifications of data breaches, audit of subcontractors, etc.);
• Implementation of technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the confidentiality, availability and integrity of personal data (Privacy by design/Privacy by default);
• Creation of a contractual framework defining the obligations and responsibilities of Lingueo and its clients;
• Appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO), in order to ensure regular compliance monitoring as part of in-depth audits and involving all authorized Lingueo staff.
